Facilities (設施)
We have invested allot of time, effort and money into creating a pleasant training environment, and we are proud to give you a tour around our new facilities at our Witpoortjie school.
Garden (園林)
We are located in a residential area, on one of the main roads of Witpoortjie, a suburb of Roodepoort. Our Academy offers both an indoor training area, as well as an outdoor /garden training area.
The garden training area spread over 450 square meters and provides for a very tranquil and pleasant training area, perfect for those hot South African Summer nights, or lazy Saturday mornings.
We planted Asian bamboo, Banana trees, and many different ever green plants, to add to the Asian look and feel of the whole property. Chinese Lanterns, Oriental garden furniture, Water features, as well as Oriental statutes, were all used to create this Asian look and feel we wanted.
Our Water Wise garden was designed to stay beautiful as well as practical, right through the year. We have installed garden lights, as well as strategically placed colored spot lights to create beautiful effects at night. Bird feeds, water points, and wind chimes are used to create a romantic, peaceful and energetic atmosphere.
Indoor Training Hall (武館)
Our training hall is decorated to resemble a Traditional Kung Fu training Hall ( 武館), but with a few additional modern training aids and equipment. This hall was purposely build and covers a area of about 200 square meters. Because we use allot of Long weapons in Chinese Martial Arts, when we designed this new studio, we made sure that the roof is high enough to allow allot of space for movement and training.
Some of our features include, Wall mounted mirrors, Stretch bars, Basic Gym equipment, Heavy bag training area, Kung Fu Wall bags, Choy Lay Fut Wooden Dummies and much more. We have also provided for both Male and female change rooms. Training surface is concrete, and we have a small padded area of approximately 5x5 m2 that is permanently in use for throws etc. We have extra throwing mats that we lay out as and when we need that.
We have a very big selection of weapons that are available there for students to use. We don't charge a fee to students to use our weapons, and we don't force any student to buy their own weapons. As long as our students take care of our property and our equipment, everything is there and free for any student or member to use.
We are constantly upgrading our facilities and will keep developing our premises in the next few weeks. We have been occupying our new premises since November 2005 (exactly 6 years after we opened our school). We will also keep updating this part of our web site every few weeks.
